Healthy eating is being promoted in school this week with two fabulous events.
Students are Awarded Second Place at the Runshaw College Maths Challenge
The following students took part in the Runshaw Maths Challenge on the evening of Wednesday 21st March: Melina Sergeant, Isabelle Atkinson, Teri Williams and Morgan Brown.
Lenten Charity Fabulous Fundraising!
We are delighted to say that the total raised so far for Lenten Charity Fortnight is an incredible £2,700 and the money raised is being donated to Meningitis UK and Barnados.

On Friday 2nd March there was a Maths PGL trip to Winmarleigh Hall.
Athletics Team 2nd in Lancashire!!
A few months ago our year 8 indoor athletics teams attended the South Ribble competition.
U15s Indoor Cricket Team
Our U15s indoor cricket team were excellent again as they represented the school and South Ribble at the Lancashire regional stage of the competition.
Gold Medals for Adam!
Adam Butler, in Year 11, has been busy over the last few weeks winning a gold medal in judo at both the Midlands and North West Area Open competitions.
Former Students Tom and Leon are Raising Money for St.Catherine's Hospice
Tom Cottingham and Leon Stott were students at Balshaw’s between 1996-2001. They are helping their friend Jamie to raise money for St.Catherine’s Hospice in memory of Jamie’s Aunty Caron who sadly passed away.
On 1st March Sports Development organised their annual primary schools dance event and 6 of our year 8 Dance Club members helped to lead the morning's event.
Careers Fair 2018
On the evening of 28th February Balshaw's Church of England High School welcomed a fantastic turnout of students & parents to their Careers Fair.
Ella McBride and Isla Gee, in Year 7, competed in the South Ribble Schools Trampolining Championships both performing 2 great routines each.
