Year 8 Girls' Fabulous Football!
On Tuesday 19th November, our Year 8 girls' football team took part in the 7-a-side South Ribble tournament.
Northwest Regional Schools Trampoline Competition
We are delighted to share that news that some of our students are taking part in the Northwest Regional Schools trampoline competition, that is taking place at Robin Park in Wigan on Saturday 30th November.
Remembrance 2024
For Remembrance Day 2024, there were Acts of Worship for the whole school.
South Ribble Cross Country Competition
A huge well done to all the Year 7, 8 and 9 students, who represented Balshaw's at the South Ribble Cross Country competition, on Saturday 16th November
Lancashire Schools Cup Football Success
Congratulations to our Year 7 boys football team who have progressed from the group stage of the Lancashire Schools Cup.
Spooky Halloween Silent Disco!
On Wednesday 30th October, we had a spooky Halloween silent disco for our Year 7 and 8 students.
Boccia Challenge
Once again our competitors and leaders made us all proud, being shining examples of Balshavians at our Boccia event on Wednesday 30th October.
Superb Swimming!
On the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd November, 2024, two of our fantastic students competed at the Swim England North West Winter Regional Championships. To get to compete at this event is an achievement in itself as the age category is U16 and requires swimmers to achieve extremely quick qualifying times!
Year 10 & 11 Girls' Football Team Success!
Our Year 10 and 11 girls' football team were in 7-a-side action on Monday 4th November at Leyland St.Mary's.
Great Start for our Year 7 Girls' Football Team
Our Year 7 girls had their first football fixture on Thursday 31st November.
Oustanding Start to 2024-25
We have had an OUTSTANDING start to the 2024-25 academic year; there have been over 120,000 positive points awarded altogether for all year groups throughout school. Positives are awarded for all students who meet our high expectations regarding their conduct in and out of lessons.
