We supported Safer Internet Day 2023 with assemblies and lessons, along with a House Cup Challenge for Years 7-9.

For the Business & Computing House Cup Challenge, students were asked to create a Safer Internet Day Youth Charter. They had to say what they wanted the internet to be like and by writing about what the government, the internet industry, teachers and professionals, parents and carers, and children and young people can do to help to achieve it.

Thank you to everyone one who entered the House Cup Challenge. You can see a wonderful selection below:

Mia, Year 7 said: "We want an internet that is safe, protected and a place where people can express themselves without worrying about online dangers"

Isabel, Year 9 said: "We want an internet that is safe, inclusive, enjoyable, positive and beneficial"

Sam, Year 9 said: "We want an internet that is trustworthy and reliable. We want to go on the internet knowing that harmful content is blocked, and that information is accurate and true"

Lottie, Year 7 said: "We want an internet that is safe and appropriate for young people to see"

Heidi, Year 9 said: "We want an internet that is safe for all ages, and one that can come to your requirements without people getting hurt"
