Balshaw’s Church of England High School

Year 11 Football Team

4 November 2014

The year 11 football team have got off to another brilliant start this season. Having won the league and cup double last season the main goal for this year is to go one better and aim to win the Lancashire County Cup.

The boys have made a very impressive start with a 7-0 win against Wellfield, a 6-0 win against Lostock Hall and a 1-0 win against All Hallows in the South Ribble League. Can the boys go all season without conceding a goal in the league!!?

In the Lancashire County Cup they had a very tough 1st round draw against Morecambe Community High School. Morecambe had beaten our boys 6-2 when they were in Year 9 and so they knew this would be a very tough 1st round game. The lads played superb however and ended up winning the game 6-1 to progress in the competition. A full match report will follow from our Sports Captain Nathan Nickeas.

Mr Davidson.
