The Eco Council and I are pleased to announce the Big Fairtrade Fortnight Recycling Drive.

We are collecting clean and wearable adults and children's clothing (including bras, baby clothes and bags). Items should be free from rips and stains etc (basically in a suitable condition to be worn again).

We can also accept clean and wearable shoes and trainers.

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT UNDERWEAR (EXCEPT BRAS), DRESSING GOWNS, BLANKETS OR DUVETS ETC.

These will be reused and recycled mainly in Eastern Europe and Africa. Not only does this reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfill, it provides much needed cheap clothing to those in need and also school gets 50p per kilogram of donations.

Books can be collected too but should be in boxes and we only get 5p per kilogram.

Students can give their donations directly to their tutor. However, we do have spare bags in the office if families want one to fill at home. The items will be collected on Thursday 23rd March and Thursday 30th March 2023.

Many thanks

Dr Breen and the Eco Council
