Students will be adequately equipped to meet the Mathematical challenges in the world of life, work and leisure, whilst at the same time developing their appreciation and enjoyment of Mathematics itself.

Key Stage 3
In the KS3 curriculum (Years 7-9) all students have 7×60 minute lessons over two weeks. They will get one piece of homework each week. All students follow the same core curriculum but it is tailored to meet their current level of understanding and to enable them to make progress. Students will follow either the foundation, secure or extending pathway. Students are placed into the 7 or 8 sets dependant on KS2 scores, CAT scores, teacher assessment and on-going tests and APP tasks in lessons.

Key Stage 4 Maths
All students are entered for AQA GCSE Maths at either Higher or Foundation level and sit 3 papers at the end of Year 11. There is no coursework or controlled assessment, just 100% exam. Higher level awards grades 9 - 4 and Foundation level awards grades 5 - 1.
Mock exams are taken at regular intervals to inform student progress and highlight development areas.
