Cross Country Event
On Saturday 19th November, a group of our students represented Balshaw’s in a cross country competition at Hutton Grammar.
The Lion King Trip
On Thursday 10th November, the Drama department took a group of 55 students to see The Lion King in Manchester.
MFL Celebration of the Mexican Tradition "Day of the Dead"
Our students in Years 7 and 8 learnt about the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead.

European Day of Languages Week!
Our MFL Department celebrated European Day of Languages for a whole week from Monday 26th September! There was a wonderful range of activities for our students to take part in throughout the week, even during lunchtime!
Black History Month
In the Library, we have been celebrating Black History Month by showcasing non-fiction books and biographies and showcasing Black authors in the fiction section.
Year 7 Boys' Football Team
Our Year 7 boys' football team have been busy taking part in South Ribble league fixtures against Wellfield, All Hallows and Penwortham Priory.

We wanted to thank everyone who stayed to take part, help or support the Inter-house Country, on Wednesday 12th October, in the torrential rain!
World Mental Health Day 2022
We are supporting this special day with self-care messages for all our students and staff. Assemblies today have focussed on positive mental health and wellbeing and staff are wearing sunny yellow to promote happiness.
